![]() 'JIIA Eprints Repository' is an Archaeological Disciplinary Repository aligned with Open Access Initiative Protocol (OAI-PMH) and linked to 'Journal of Intercultural and Interdisciplinary Archaeology' (jiia.it/jiia.eu) online since 10 october 2003. The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting, OAI-PMH, is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability. Data Providers are repositories that expose structured metadata via OAI-PMH. Service Providers then make OAI-PMH service requests to harvest that metadata. OAI-PMH is a set of six verbs or services that are invoked within HTTP. In this architecture 'JIIA Eprints Repository' is a Data Provider. Antonella D'Ascoli is Owner and Managing Director of this complex infrastructure. |
